the past six months have been a period of incredibly rapid change in my life. i've been so busy that i probably haven't even told everyone about most of these monumental changes. first, and most importantly, i proposed to a remarkably lovely woman in spain and she said yes! here is a disturbingly cute photo of bethany and i.

in late august i started grad school in berkeley's school of information management and systems (sims). consequently i couldn't keep my full-time job, but somehow wound up getting two part-time gigs that are far cooler.

the first one is working at yahoo! doing content editing for the sbc broadband portal. basically i browse the news and other y! content, pick out stuff the users need to know about or will simply enjoy, and set it up to be featured on our page with a photo, headline, and related links.

the second job, which i'm just starting now, is doing web development for the sims website. i've been trying to break into coding for cash for a while now, so it's very cool to have it finally fall into place.

between school and these two jobs i have very little free time to do things like post to this page. expect the slow trickle of updates to dwindle to rare drips from the blog faucet of my mind.
