here's a link to a project i finished last week called RecipeFish. it's a prototype of a tool for working with recipes while cooking. it makes it easy to keep track of what step you're on in a recipe and allows you to easily start timers when the recipe calls for something to be cooked for 10 minutes or whatever. very few of you will want to read the paper i wrote about this, but someone out there may.
life is good people. i'm 600 words away from finishing my last assignment for my first year of grad school! this semester has been *A LOT* of work and i'm not sad to see it go. but all has turned out well. most excitingly, i managed to line up a summer internship at google doing user interface design. i'm starting in just under 2 weeks and will be working at the googleplex for 3 months. free gourmet lunch here i come. for interested parties, here's the design exercise i did that scored me the gig.
beyond that i'm looking forward to doing a bunch of things i haven't been able to do in the last nine months, such as: a)plan a wedding b)have a social life c) read books of my own choosing d) sleep e) exercise (okay, i'm not really looking forward to that) f) play music. people, let's get this summer started.
