this weekend we went to the cornerstone gardens in sonoma. i can't describe it, you'll just have to check out the photo set, which is called "alien tree, screen doors, and shadows."

i also took some snapshots of an amazing art piece that's up in the uc berkeley main library. in the open area at the center of an enormous spiral staircase, they've suspended books on wires at varying angles. you can view the piece from the stairs on four levels, from any angle, and from below—looking through the books to the skylight above. it's brilliant.
