Tonight I am happy and exhausted. at noon today i finished my first semester of grad school. at 12:15 I started drinking beer with my classmates, and we did not stop for many hours. we deserved it.

overall it was a good semester, though there were a few tough periods, including the last few days. on Monday I finished up a website for a project in my information visualization class. it's a design for a software tool called timeline compare that allows people to select two timelines and view them next to each other to find interesting synchronicities.
